About Tejon Street Corner Thieves

)Outlaw Alt-Folk group Tejon Street Corner Thieves hails from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, bringing new energy to the Bluegrass genre by mingling darker subjects and tones with depth-driven lyricism and performative musicianship.

The musicians behind Tejon have been playing together since 2013, where they gained momentum in the local Colorado scene with accolades and press coverage around the state, spanning from Colorado Springs’ Colorado Springs Gazette to Denver’s 303 Magazine. The band eventually caught the eye of Banjo-attacking murder folk troubadour Amigo The Devil and signed to his recently-launched record label Liars Club.

Tejon Street Corner Thieves have just announced a follow-up to their album Stolen Goods which came out earlier this year– the new LP Thick As Thieves is set to release on March 18th, 2022.  The 12-track album was recorded at Royal Recordings in Colorado Springs with producer Bill Douglas and combines Americana, folk, and bluegrass into an intoxicating mix with a unique trash-grass twist.

In the past year, Tejon has grown out of their local acclaim, becoming a national voice amongst the Bluegrass community for both their unique sound and charming antics. Following the COVID-19 shutdown, Tejon got extensive news coverage when the band took to the road (on a school bus), performing their music for fans from a safe distance. Their ingenuity brought in a stream of new fans, propelling their music mainstream.

Currently, Tejon is touring with Amigo the Devil, performing at sold-out shows, bringing their eclectic sound to welcoming ears and soon-to-be fans.

About Free Creatures

Free Creatures was formed when Eugene Oregon’s Marv Ellis met Anchorage Alaska’s Emily Turner, they fell in love, moved in together, started a hemp farm, and all their other music projects came to an end. As their dedication to their new life together deepened, they watched impatiently as their own bands drifted apart and their schedules opened up. This created the opportunity for Marv and Emily to spend time experimenting with combining their unique sounds and talents, mostly for their own enjoyment. However, as they began writing together and creating new sounds and songs, they realized that their unique style combination was worth sharing with others. This innocent notion has since bloomed into an electrifyingly enchanting library of songs that blend depression era jazz samples with thumping upright bass lines, sweet uke and trumpet layers, thought provoking lyrics, and catchy melodies. In early 2019 the two were joined by electric guitar shredder Skyler Squglio, formerly of high energy rock band 100 Watt Mind.

The addition of Skyler’s energy and technique only further solidified the team and blossomed the Free Creatures’ sound into a fiercely energizing fusion of trip hop, psych rock, and indie EDM with illustrious live jams. The trio’s latest addition includes crystal clear three part harmonies. Free Creatures released their first solo album “All the Things” in November 2019 along with four music video / singles, including Burnin’ Up, Get That, Free Creatures, and Mystery feat. Felix Free. After a successful album release tour in January 2020, the band faced covid era courageously, hitting the studio, rehearsing, learning and writing to pass the time. The improvements from this time well spent were confirmed during a series of epic summer concerts that brought reunions with long term fans and introduced many bright new ones! The trio prides themselves on the quality of fan base built since the beginning; meaningful organic connections with artists, audiophiles, industry pros, athletes, and the like- many budding into extended family members.

That familial, welcoming message was further solidified in their most recent single “Inviting You In”, released August 2020. This single is the first in a series rolling out Fall 2021 to introduce the sophomore album, “You’re Doing It!”, recorded and produced in the Marv Ellis studio. The Free Creatures team has grown and is bringing a wall of sound your way
